The Steelers got Baker Mayfield benched

The Black & Gold did a good job shutting down the Brown’s passing attack. It didn’t hurt that Baker Mayfield, Odell Beckham Jr., and Jarvis Landry were all hurt and limited during the practice week. It probably was the reason the Browns went to Case Keenum in the game when Baker Mayfield is struggling.

Whether it was Baker Mayfield’s injury or the Steeler’s defense that shut down Baker Mayfield, Mayfield had a bad day. Per ESPN, Baker Mayfield was 10 of 18 for two interceptions and only 119 yards.

I think what is exposing Baker Mayfield is not having Nick Chubb. It also doesn’t help that Kareem Hunt is also banged up. The Steelers knew the pass was coming and they were ready for it.
