The Steelers defense held the Browns

The Steelers defense held the Browns to 7 points and that makes it their best game in terms of scoring yet. They were able to get Baker Mayfield benched and the defense had enough of a lead in the fourth quarter that Mason Rudolph got some snaps.

It was a decent day in terms of playmaking with two interceptions off of Baker Mayfield, but what really improved this week was the Steeler’s ability to make stops. The Brown’s offense was 1 of 12 on third downs today and that is unheard of in today’s NFL.

The Black & Gold rely on playmaking by the defense to win games but it is great to see them get off the field on third down. They might need to play more of that conservative type of defense with Devin Bush out for the year with a torn ACL.
