The Steelers humiliated the Cleveland Browns in Week 6. Here are three reasons why Pittsburgh’s latest win was so impressive.

Putting the final score of the Steelers game against the Browns aside, it was truly a dominant performance.  Although the Steelers amassed a net of only 277 yards, according to NFL.com, it was the manner in which we won the game.

After the opening drive in which we managed to score a field goal, we then returned an INT for a TD.  From that point on, it went downhill for the Browns.  After building up a 24-0 lead, we allowed a TD in the second quarter, but that was it as far as the scoring was concerned for the Browns.

The Steelers ‘D’ held the Browns offense to 220 yards, amassed 4 sacks, and 2 INTs.  What was most impressive from the defensive side of the ball was the fact that we held the Browns to a third-down conversion rate of 8 percent.

Let me repeat that…we held the Browns to an 8 percent third-down conversion rate.  To say that is impressive is an understatement of epic proportions.  It was dominant.  There’s no other way to put it. Maybe Browns fans would take umbrage at that statement, but ‘it is what it is’.

The performance by the Steelers against the Browns was, in my opinion, the most complete game we have played thus far in the 2020 season.  Rather than being on the edge of my seat, I was able to somewhat relax and ‘enjoy the show’.  Truthfully, I am never relaxed until the final whistle, but that’s a story for another time.

With that in mind, let’s see how we fared on offense.
