After an unexpected Covid-19 issue in Tennessee, Week 7 brings forth the Pittsburgh Steelers original Week 4 opponent the Tennessee Titans.
This is a matchup I have been excited to see since the release of the 2020 schedule. These are going to be two very physical teams that like to impose their will. They just do it in different ways. The Pittsburgh Steelers boast one of the most physical defenses in the NFL. They love to get after the quarterback and are very dominant at the point of attack. Tennessee is incredibly physical on the offensive side of the ball, utilizing a freakish type athlete to maul defensive backs in the run game.
While there is sure to be talk about the original game being scheduled in Week 4, there is no question that both of these teams are hungry to get on the field. This will be the biggest test either of these teams have faced this season. It is a match-up between the two last undefeated teams in the AFC.
The Steelers have been dealing with the “easy schedule, playing bad teams” stigma up until their Week 6 thumping of the Browns. The Titans have been playing a little up and down. They handily beat the Bills, which could very well have been the best team they played so far, in Week 5 by 26 points, only to win in overtime against the same Texans team that the Steelers shut out for the entire second half.
This game presents some interesting dynamics with one of the best matchups in the league, in one facet of the game. I’m really looking forward to this one, and this what you have to know coming into this game.
