Tennessee is a formidable opponent and will be for the Steelers, but as head coach Mike Tomlin put it in his team press-conference this week, they get the “timely turnover.”

For starters, Pittsburgh and Tennessee, according to teamrankings.com, are two of only three teams that have a 1.0+ turnover margin per game in addition to averaging less than one giveaway. The Titans ended last week without a takeaway by the defense for the first time this season, but the late-game decision by HC Mike Vrabel to purposefully take a penalty saved them from a loss.

Before handling the Buffalo Bills in Week 5, two of their wins were sealed by a late-game interception to the Jacksonville Jaguars and Minnesota Vikings.

Thankfully for the Steelers, they haven’t been in this situation, and the closest they have experienced came from late-rallies to the Denver Broncos and Houston Texans. Halting each of their attempts of a comeback through a sustained rushing attack, who will bend and break first if this moment presented itself Sunday?
