The Pittsburgh Steelers were able to keep their remarkable win streak alive after defeating the Tennessee Titans. Here are my four biggest takeaways from the game.

The Steelers entered Week 7 as one of only three undefeated teams currently remaining in the NFL. Like Pittsburgh, the Tennessee Titans also had a spotless record. While oddsmakers actually favored the Titans in this contest, it was Mike Tomlin’s team that had the last laugh.

Pittsburgh exploded from the gate in Week 7 – quickly racking up a 14-0 lead in the first quarter. While the Titans were soon to answer back, the Steelers had a 24-7 lead heading into halftime.

The second half, however, is one that Pittsburgh would like to forget. Though the road team was fortunate to pull out the win, they were drastically outplayed in the second half. Here are my four takeaways from Pittsburgh’s win over the Tennessee Titans:

 Bad Ben Roethlisberger was back

For the most part, Ben Roethlisberger has looked like a new and improved player after his elbow surgery this past offseason. He has showcased enough zip on his passes and he has been taking care of the football. However, the latter was certainly not true of his performance in Week 7.

Against the Titans in the second half, Big Ben made one careless mistake after another. While the interception off the batted pass wasn’t entirely his fault, Roethlisberger left some big points on the board with two red-zone interceptions late in the game. Had he not tried to force these balls, the game would have never come down to the wire.

Ben Roethlisberger has been very good for the most part this season, but this was his worst game of the season, hands-down.
