Offensive grades:

Quarterback: D+

If I were just grading Ben Roethlisberger based on his performance in the first half, this grade would have clearly been better. However, he was clearly at fault for two of his three interceptions – trying to force the ball into tight windows. As a result, the Steelers came away empty-handed on at least two drives that would have resulted in points.

In addition, Ben threw the ball a combined 29 times to JuJu Smith-Schuster and Diontae Johnson as opposed to just 2 times combined to Chase Claypool and James Washington. After throwing 3 picks and averaging 5.5 yards per attempt, it’s a wonder Pittsburgh came away with the win.

Running backs: C+

It was a very average game, to say the least, for Pittsburgh’s rushing attack. Though James Conner churned out some difficult yards in tough sledding, he was still only moderately successful – managing 84 yards on 20 carries. Of this, 24 yards came on one run. The team averaged just 3.8 yards per carry in Week 7 as a unit. It wasn’t Pittsburgh’s best rushing performance on the season.
