James Conner
James Conner has one more year left on his rookie deal and has had a nice season as the Steeler’s primary tailback. He could command starter money with another team in the NFL.
I think a lot of how a running back does is predicated on what his offensive line and play call gives him. The Steelers have been able to use Conner effectively.
There are moves like drafting Anthony MacFarland and getting Benny Snell more involved with the offense that could signal the Steelers would be okay moving on from the Pittsburgh product.
It will be sad from a fan’s point of view. Conner has run with a lot of heart and has overcome cancer in a heroic way. These things will not be forgotten even if James Conner leaves.
