This player has held down the slot corner job for a few years now. The problem that I have with him is that he has declined a little bit every year he has started for them. It might be time to go with someone else.
The problem is that Cameron Sutton has not been an upgrade when he has been the guy. AJ Brown torched Cameron Sutton in the slot. According to ESPN, AJ Brown had six catches for 153 yards. This is not the job that Cameron Sutton has done in years past.
The other thing to consider is that although Cameron Sutton might be easier to resign, he may not be back with the team as well. In fact, I could see the Steelers drafting slot corner as well or getting an affordable free agent if they can’t resign Sutton or Hilton.
