Lamar Jackson is the reigning MVP for a reason. However, Ben Roethlisberger is still the king of the AFC north

Lamar Jackson playing football looks like someone playing Madden. He has no problem running around and making guys miss. He has been getting better at using his threat to run the ball to draw defenders a little bit away from their assignments and in short he helps get his receivers open. This is the first time of his career that he is starting against Ben Roethlisberger and Ben is going to remind everyone who is at the top of the division.

Ben Roethlisberger had a bit of a hiccup in Week 7 on what has been an otherwise excellent season. Big Ben isn’t throwing for 300 or 400 yards a game, simply because he hasn’t needed to. He still already has 13 touchdowns on the season through the air. The Steelers have been content with moving the ball with short passes and running it while throwing the occasional deep shot here and there to keep a defense honest. Both of these quarterbacks are going up against high-level pass rushes in Week 8 however, you have to count on Ben in these types of games. He has 2 super bowl wins with a 3rd appearance. Has a ton of playoff wins and has seen every kind of defense imaginable.

Lamar Jackson has not shown the ability to come from behind in any big games yet, while Ben has done it so many times. Jackson struggled mightily against Pittsburgh in 2019. This front 7 is one of the most athletic in the league and they pride themselves on getting to the quarterback quickly and multiple guys at a time doing it as well. It is going to be fun to watch and find out if this will be a passing of the torch between the top two quarterbacks in the AFC North, or if Ben shows that he still reigns supreme.
