James Farrior
Farrior was brought to Pittsburgh via free agency, which Kevin Colbert normally never did. Farrior was seen as somewhat of a gamble signing because even though he had some decent stats, the team he was coming from was terrible. Farrior never fully seemed to live up to his potential while in New York. Colbert signed the former Jet to a nice contract that would help him explode onto the scene in the Steel City.
He found a niche right away and began an amazing career as a Steeler. Once he turned in the green and white for black and yellow, his career changed for the better as his stats show. He was able to be apart of some amazing defenses and lead them to the promised land a few times.
Not only was he an amazing player on the field but he was a great leader for some of the best defenses the NFL has ever seen. He could rally the troops and lead them into battle every week, which also shows his amazing ability to stay healthy throughout his career. He was an all-around player that each team is looking for, someone that can lead and play amazing ball.
Farrior would start 154 games with Pittsburgh and would total 1,085 total tackles, 82 tackles for loss, 47 quarterback hits, 30 sacks, ten fumble recoveries, 12 forced fumbles, a touchdown, eight interceptions, two Pro Bowls, First-team All-Pro, Steelers MVP, Steelers Hall of Honor Inductee, and two Super Bowl Championships.
