Take care of the football

I don’t mean to sound arrogant, but apart from slowing down the Cowboys rushing attack, taking care of the ball is the only other thing the Steelers need to be able to do to win this game.

Let’s face it, Pittsburgh isn’t exactly facing the cream of the crop in Week 9. Even with a three-interception game from Ben Roethlisberger in Week 7 against an undefeated Tennessee Titans team, the Steelers still did enough to take care of business. Last week, their offense was less than stellar and they lost a fumble from Chase Claypool, but it wasn’t a fatal blow.

Realistically, if Roethlisberger can avoid one of his 3-4 interception games that typically comes a few times a year, there is no reason the Dallas Cowboys should be able to stick with the Steelers this week. The Steelers need to take care of the ball and let their defense do the talking.

I’m not saying that Mike Tomlin’s team should take the Cowboys lightly. This is still an NFL organization that is capable of an upset in Week 9 if the Steelers come unprepared. However, if they do these two things, I don’t envision a scenario where Dallas comes out on top in this con
