The Pittsburgh Steelers traveled to Dallas to take on a terrible Cowboys squad.

That was the narrative that many Steelers fans, including myself, believed coming into this game. Yet, Garrett Gilbert came out firing and on the 3rd play of the game threw a 32-yard completion on a 3rd and 2 to Amari Cooper. I was shocked that the Cowboys didn’t give Ezekiel Elliott the ball until their 4th offensive play of the game.

Pittsburgh would not take the lead until just over 2 minutes were left in the game. It was far from what I envisioned would take place. Pittsburgh clearly missed Tyson Alualu as Dallas was able to run up the middle. Steven Nelson missed multiple tackles. The budding stars in Diontae Johnson and Chase Claypool had dropped an incredible amount of passes in this one. It took JuJu Smith-Schuster, Eric Ebron, and even James Washington to get the game going. It was far from a perfect game for the black and gold.

Yet, the most important thing is that they left Dallas with a win. They have a test with Cincinnati and rookie superstar Joe Burrow in Week 10, and they will be happy to finally be back at Heinz Field after a tough stretch of games the past few weeks.
