After an abysmal first quarter and most of the second quarter, the Steelers finally find life on offense.

It was a horrifying moment on what appeared to be Pittsburgh’s final drive of the half. Ben Roethlisberger would take a very hard hit between two defenders that looked to have injured his knee. After a timeout, Ben would finish the drive before heading to the locker room. In his final pass attempt of the first half, he would find James Washington in the endzone. This was James Washington’s only target of the day, but it was a crucial one.

This play was huge for the Steelers. They had been shut out for almost the entire first half of the game. It looked even rougher down the stretch with Ben looking like he torqued his knee in a bad way. After this happened, there would be doubts about how the Steelers offense would be able to score if he were to be sat for the rest of the game.

This wouldn’t be the only big play for the Steelers in the entire first half. However, this was by far the biggest play for them up to this point. With an injured quarterback, we were left to wonder how this would play out.
