Tight End

The two tight ends that most Steelers fans are familiar with are Vance McDonald and the recently-added Eric Ebron. The problem with this is that Ebron has appeared to have taken the driver’s seat in the position, resulting in McDonald being vastly underused. But despite such spotlight being given to the new kid on the block, he has so far been nothing more than a situational talent, only shining on occasional plays.

Where to Look:

 Any Big Ten School:

The Big Ten universities have garnered a rather sizable reputation for producing solid offensive linemen. This includes tight ends. The three most noteworthy teams in the conference that the Steelers should keep an eye on are Michigan, Penn State, and–I cannot stress this enough–Iowa. The first two are no strangers to helping Pittsburgh in the tight end department, with Zach Gentry coming out of Michigan, and former Steeler Jesse James being a Penn State grad.
