The Steelers played a near-perfect game against the Cincinnati Bengals to earn their ninth straight victory.
I have to say that the Steelers victory against the Cincinnati Bengals may have been the most complete game we have played thus far in the 2020 NFL season. Unlike almost every other game this season, the contest against the Bengals was not the ‘roller coaster’ ride that I have referenced in my previous articles.
After a slow start on offense, the Steelers ended up scoring 36 points. Scoring points on offense is something we have been able to do consistently all season. Since football is the most complimentary sport in existence, Pittsburgh’s offense has been buttressed by their stellar defense.
As has been the modus operandi all season, the Steelers defense came to play against the Bengals. Similar to some games where we were a bit ‘leaky’ in certain areas, the ‘D’ gave up 324 net yards, according to ESPN.com.
However, Pittsburgh only gave up ten points and won the game with ease, so I guess that’s all that matters. Still, giving up 139 yards on the ground is concerning. I guess I have to keep reminding myself of the fact that we only gave up ten points and won the game. Like every game this season, The ‘D’ came up with stops and big plays when they needed to be made.
So what did we learn from the win against the Bengals? Let’s take a look.
