Ben Roethlisberger’s Week 10 Grade: A-

Big Ben had a monster stat line and the only thing holding me back from giving him an A+ is his completion percentage. Ben completed 58% of his passes which isn’t ideal but he’s not the only one to blame for this. JuJu Smith-Schuster and Chase Claypool had their fair share of drops. Aside from the completion percentage, Ben had arguably his best game of the season. He spread the ball out perfectly, extended downs, and used a lot of misdirection.

In years past, the Steelers needed Big Ben to throw for 300-400 yards and 3 touchdowns due to a poor pass defense. This year is different, our defense is the best it has been since 2010. With the help of our defense and special teams, Ben doesn’t have to have a monster game for the Steelers to come away with a win. Due to such a star-studded defense, the weight is finally off of Ben’s shoulders.

Looking forward, Ben and the Steelers look to take down the Jacksonville Jaguars in Jacksonville. Roethlisberger has been brilliant so far during his age 38 season. If he plays as he did against the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 10, there’s no reason this week’s contest should even be close.
