The Steelers have three players out, but none of them play key roles on the team. The three that are out are Samuels, Edmunds, and Elliott.

The Steelers have a few injuries but none of them play a key role on the team. They will be missed on Sunday, but at least there are no starters out. The Jaguars, on the other hand, have a myriad of injuries to deal with at this point. This game might be a blowout just based on injuries.

The good news is guys like Anthony MacFarland, Isaiah Buggs, and Mike Hilton look good to go this Sunday. All those players are important to the Steelers in some way. Mike Hilton will probably be the guy in the slot even though Cameron Sutton did a decent job in relief.

Steelers Injuries:

Jaylen Samuels (Quadriceps) Out

Jaylen Samuels has not practiced all week and is therefore naturally out this week. He does play a pass-catching role in the offense and can be a big body on special teams. The Steelers have five running backs on the roster; so, they should be okay from a running back depth standpoint.

Trey Edmunds (Hamstring) Out

Trey Edmunds is listed as out for the game and that is unfortunate because he is a key special teams player. The team will be a bit short on special teams of those big-bodied players. Somebody like Derek Watt has increased importance in a game like this with two running backs down.

Jayrone Elliott (Illness) Out

Elliott is dealing with an illness and it is probably a good idea for him to stay away from the team until he gets healthy. Elliott can help this team on special teams and has flashed at times as a pass rusher from the edge.
