Jordan Reed, San Francisco 49ers Tight End

Why This Trade Makes Sense:

Within the past couple of seasons, it feels as if the tight end position has become vastly underappreciated in Pittsburgh. But, if another Pro Bowl TE was added to the depth chart, that may change. Under normal circumstances, Jordan Reed is not even the go-to tight end on his current team. And if he is seeing the road that San Francisco appears to be going down as a franchise, he may want out of there.

Now to some, such a decision may seem a tad premature, considering Reed’s short time with the Niners thus far. But it is important to remember that this talent spent his first professional football years in Washington. Perhaps he is growing tired of having the precious time of his career be wasted and wants to join the cool 9-0 kids.

And if Reed were to join the Steelers, it would not be him just riding along to bigger and better things. He would earn his achievements with the team, being a reliable receiving option on an already prominent passing game.
