Safeties came up big for the Steelers

Minkah Fitzpatrick had an 11-game drought from the end of the 2019 season to the beginning of this year without recording an interception. But since facing the Clevland Browns in Week 6, he has now recorded 3 interceptions over his last 6 games.

Terrell Edmunds had a much greater dry spout. The former 2018 first-round pick had not recorded a single interception since Week 3 of his rookie year. However, in Week 11 against Jacksonville, he recorded not one, but two interceptions – ending a 38-game drought without a pick.

Collectively, these two safeties had a brilliant game, and they largely contributed to the success on defense. Fitzpatrick now has 9 interceptions since joining the team in Week 3 of 2019 and is making the case for All-Pro honors yet again in 2020. Edmunds played by far the best game of his career. If he can start to become the player the Steelers were hoping for when they took him in the first round, look out NFL!
