The Pittsburgh Steelers are currently 10-0, yet they still have issues that could be addressed.

Every team in the NFL has issues and things that need patching. However, at this point in the season, it is tough to find players that can just come in and take over a position. Still, there are a couple of pieces that the Steelers could add to their puzzle that may not necessarily be better than the current starters, but could come in and offer some improvement in areas that Pittsburgh desperately needs.

It is no secret Pittsburgh has been unable to find a consistent run game. They say that defenses are stacking the box and are forcing them to throw. Yet, in closer games when Pittsburgh has the lead they still need to be able to run in a stacked box. There are a couple of free agents that could give them a chance to improve their run game, regardless of what opposing defenses are doing.

On defense, the Steelers have been great this season. However, they can be better. Injuries have shown that there is a lack of depth where all defense starts and that is at the defensive line. The middle of the defense has already been weakened by the loss of Devin Bush, and with Tyson Alualu’s age, they will have to rotate him out more frequently to avoid more scary knee injuries like the MCL sprain he suffered in the Ravens’ game. Right now, there isn’t another good run stopper at his position behind him. We have seen a lot of Henry Mondeaux recently, but he has failed to impress in that area and then some.

Remember that most of these players are going to be on either prove-it deals, or are at the twilight of their careers more than likely chasing a ring before they retire. Without further ado, here are four free agents that could help the Steelers win the Super Bowl.
