2013

In 2013, the Steelers lost to the Ravens on Thanksgiving and Mike Tomlin received a big fine of $100,000. Jacoby Jones was the Ravens primary return man and some thought that he impeded Jones’s path by stepping onto the field.

The officiating crew did not throw a flag but Mike Tomlin took full responsibility for his actions. I think it was a mistake and Tomlin was sorry that he impeded the “integrity” of the game.

The Steelers also lost that game 22-20 and so it was a tough day overall for the team. Thanksgiving has not been a particularly successful day for the Steelers and that was again the story in 2013.

This story will surely be brought up by the Thursday Night Football broadcast and Mike Tomlin will want to erase the memory of that story and bring up new memories of Steeler dominance over the Ravens. The Steelers have already beat the Ravens this year.
