The Steelers defended home against the Ravens in Week 12. It was a rough day for the Steelers. As hard as it is to say that after a win, it was a rough game against the Ravens.

The Steelers were beating themselves more than the Ravens were beating them. It was a game that looked uglier, somehow, than the Dallas win.

The very start of the game looked like it could turn into a bludgeoning of Baltimore. Yet, after a pick 6, the defense slowly started to lose their intensity throughout the game. It was a tough one. The Steelers did make some good plays on the offensive and defensive side of the ball. They did just enough to win after a whirlwind of a week. I’m sure that the Steelers are happy to be able to put this game behind them.

The Analysts in the booth were questioning the decision to go for it on 4th down by the goal line.

It turned out to be a great decision. When you have the most sacks, the most, pressures, most takeaways, and the most tackles for loss your opponent starting on their own 6-yard line is a terrific situation for your team. The Steelers were going to make some kind of a great play on defense and Joe Haden made it happen.

Haden read the play the entire way. He started breaking as soon as the slot receiver stop he recognized the curl and picked it. Yet again, he makes a great play with the ball in his hands weaving his way into the endzone for the first score of the game.

It was a great play and it set the tone for a dominant defensive performance for the Steelers. The Steelers were getting after RG3 early and often, as they were in his face the entirety of the beginning of the game. It was a good start for the Steelers. It left the impression that Pittsburgh was going to shut down Baltimore throughout the game.
