Winner: Front seven

Its so hard to pick out a player from this front seven to highlight each week. Earlier, it was Cameron Heyward that was dominating, as he was annihilating the Ravens interior of their line. Then, T.J. Watt turned it on and began to show up in the backfield every play. What is becoming a regular occurrence, this entire front seven deserves to be on this winners list.

Going beyond the two players mentioned above, we saw the usual linebackers make some big plays and even Tyson Alualu get a good push up in the front. Everyone played well here, and there wasn’t an obvious weak player in this unit. This group may have only been credited for three sacks, but their impact in the passing game was obvious.

Even more so, this unit was strong at stopping the run. Yes, the quarterbacks did make some big plays on the ground, but the defense was successful in stopping Gus Edwards. The unit wasn’t perfect at stopping the ground game, especially early on, but by the end of the game, they were critical in securing the win. This front seven may be the best in the league, and they showed it this week.
