James Washington should have more opportunities

I do expect that James Washington will finally get more opportunities as he has done nothing but perform this season. The no-huddle offense that Ben runs is as effective as any offense in the league. If they fix their RedZone woes from this game, it would be the most dangerous offense in the NFL. I say that knowing that the Chiefs and the Packers are the two main powerhouses in the league offensively. That is the one good thing I can take away from this game. Pittsburgh will be able to effectively move the ball and drain the clock while passing and that will be essential against a team like Kansas City in the playoffs.

I am not saying that this one positive can outweigh all the negatives from Week 12. It was a rough game and the Steelers made a lot of avoidable mistakes. They turned the ball over twice, while one of those times was in the RedZone. They gave up a huge play no defense to the Ravens’ 3rd string quarterback and had too much trouble on money downs throughout the game.

However, the offense did show improvement in an area that they haven’t done as well in throughout the season. Most of the Steelers touchdowns have come on the back of great defense and amazing field position. Pittsburgh marched down the field consistently in this one. If they can learn to execute in the RedZone then the offense will be ready to win games for them when the defense can’t.
