Winner: James Washington

While the group as a whole struggled this week, James Washington once again proved to be clutch. He was on the field more often after earning more snaps, and he made the most of his opportunity. Yes, he only caught two passes, but he turned that into 80 yards and a score. Despite the limited usage, he was arguably the best offensive weapon this week.

Puzzling was the decision to reduce his snaps as the game went on though. He succeeded early in the game, but as time went on, he was more consistently subbed out of the offense. Considering this unit was having the struggles it was having (see the portion on the drops above), it made little sense that he would be pulled as the game went on.

While Washington does have some physical limitations, he has arguably been the best receiver over the past two games despite only catching four passes. The Steelers have a deep stable of receivers, and the team needs to use them better and rotate them in more equally. As well, with Washington playing as well as he has, this team can and should punish receivers that are dropping the ball.
