Prowess in the Passing Department

Now yes, there were multiple dropped passes by Pittsburgh receivers throughout the game; an exceptionally notable amount considering the total number of catching mishaps for the Steelers heading into this battle. Despite this, the receiving corps still made something out of nothing on several occasions and was able to move the chains down the field when the rushing game could not.

And let us all give our very own Big Ben Roethlisberger a round of applause for having himself a rather noteworthy passing game against an impressive Washington defense. He threw for 305 yards, both of Pittsburgh’s touchdowns, and his only interception was late in the fourth and final quarter.

Now typically when one hears that last part, he or she would proceed to criticize Roethlisberger quite extensively. However, the interception was less about Ben throwing a poor pass and more about the Football Team’s dynamic duo of Montez Sweat tipping the ball and Jon Bostic swiping it.

So when the quarterback is passing well, and the receivers are…receiving well, then there is not much more left to pick apart as far as a passing offense is concerned.
