With some menacing talent standing tall between the Steelers and the end of their regular-season slate, no one can say that they have an easy schedule now.

At Buffalo, at Cincinnati, hosting Indianapolis, and at Cleveland, in that order. Those are the games that are awaiting the Steelers following their first loss of the 2020 season last Monday against the Washington Football Team. In my opinion, the only one of these four remaining opponents that Pittsburgh will meet with confidence is Cincinnati, and even they are an aggressive rival on the road. But the unfortunate absence of rookie hopeful and starting quarterback Joe Burrow will certainly be a sizable help for the team from up north.

Now at first glance, we see the Browns on here and let out a sigh of relief, as we rolled through them with a 38-7 victory back in October. However, since then Cleveland has amassed an impressive 9-3 record on their season thus far and has had many critics believing that they are now better than the Steelers as a result. But nonetheless, we crushed that same exact team the last time we faced them. How different of an outcome can two-and-a-half months make?

Looking in the Colts’ direction, they are by no means an easy win either. But in recent weeks, Indy has seemed to have fallen under the radar in regards to receiving praise for their performance and formidableness. Especially with a trigger-happy quarterback like Philip Rivers leading their team down the field, Pittsburgh’s lethal defense should be able to keep them contained rather well; even more so while playing at Heinz Field.

The only one that leaves left to analyze is Buffalo, who is the polar opposite of all of the aforementioned upcoming foes. They have the entirety of their exceptional talent available for Sunday, they are a team that the Steelers have yet to face, and they have kept themselves afloat in the sea of the NFL media with the quality of their play. All of this points to the conclusion that the Bills are the scariest team still to encounter for Pittsburgh. Heading into their territory after an inexcusable first loss is not too peachy in itself, as it will be a driving force in giving Buffalo a bulk of the momentum.

No matter how bleak the circumstances may be looking for the Steelers and their fans, the ball is still in their court when it comes to winning games. We were not good enough on the night that we lost to Washington; perhaps we even overlooked them a bit. Following such a mind-boggling defeat, both the media and the haters think that Pittsburgh sucks. It is up to no one but the Steel City itself to prove them all wrong.
