Airing The Ball Out

The most passing yards thrown in one game on Monday night against the Bengals was 340 yards. Again, the quarterback to manage that was Mark Malone in their 1985 24-37 loss. This game also marks the most total yards ever posted by the Steelers on Monday night game against the Bengals as well. The Steelers had 453 total yards in that game.

The Best Monday night game the Bengals had against the Steelers in airing the ball out was in their 2013 win when Andy Dalton passed for 280 yards.

The Ground Game

The Bengals’ best rushing performance on Monday night came in their 1985 win. They rushed for 222 yards, and in that game, Bengals running back James Brooks had 133 yards with Charles Alexander Stanford Jennings and Boomer Esiason chipping in for the rest.

The Monday night game against the Bengals with the most rushing touchdowns goes back to the Steelers’ 1977 win. Pittsburgh had three rushing touchdowns in that game. The Steelers, though on Monday night, against the Bengals, have not had more than one rushing touchdown since 1986.
