4 current Steelers who will become studs in the playoffs

Here are the four Steelers that are going to take their game to the next level in the playoffs
With playoff season upon us, the Steelers are hoping to make a push to the Super Bowl despite the struggles they have showcased as a team. In order to be a serious contender, the team will need their stars to remain strong. They will also need some of their younger and more unproven players to step up and elevate their game.
Luckily, the team has quite a few players that seem poised for a strong playoff run. With that said, here are the four Steelers that are set to become playoff studs this year.
Stephon Tuitt
While it’s safe to say Stephon Tuitt is a household name in Steelers fan homes, he hasn’t registered much on the national scale. Part of this was due to his inability to play a fully healthy season for most of his career, while the other part was him being surrounded by elite talent along the team’s front seven. This year though, he took his game to the next level, recording a second-best 11 sacks for the team.
While that number of sacks is impressive, his tape is even more dominant. He was a constant force on the line, shedding blocks and applying pressure to the quarterback. He was the best starter on the line, and believe me, that is no knock-on Cameron Heyward or Tyson Alualu who each had strong seasons themselves. Despite his incredible play, Tuitt was not voted onto the Pro Bowl roster, indicating his lack of league-wide recognition.
Beyond his lack of recognition from NFL fans, he also hasn’t been a force when he has played in the playoffs. Despite this being his eighth career playoff game, he has yet to record a sack or a big play outside of a pair of fumble recoveries. That said, given his dominant play, this year seems like the year he has a breakout playoff game. While he is already a stud for the Steelers, it is high time he gets the recognition he deserves for his outstanding play.
