Johnson becomes a hero

Following the predictions laid out above, mainly an early game struggle that turns into a comeback attempt for the Steelers, Diontae Johnson has a game for the ages. It doesn’t start off well, as he drops his first pass attempt, a short pass that would have been a first down on the opening drive. It doesn’t stop him though, as he puts together the best game of his career.

His first half, like the rest of the Steelers, is a slow one. Opening up the second half though, he beats his man for a deep score. As the half continues, he keeps on winning on the short and intermediate routes. What sets his game apart though is the final drive. Trailing 23-21 after a Spillane pick, Johnson gets targeted on a short third-down attempt. His incredible elusiveness allows him to break three tackles and hurdle through a defender for his second score.

In total, Johnson catches 10 passes for 163 yards and two touchdowns. His last play goes down amongst some of the Steelers best, as his incredible ability to make a man miss was on full display. As well, it ends up being the game-winner, further adding to the legacy he establishes in this game. His season has been up and down, but I think he comes out with a chip on his shoulder this week.

In what should be a good game, don’t be surprised if the Steelers and Browns have a close game in the wildcard round of the playoffs. Both teams have their concerns, but neither will back down this week. Keep these bold predictions in mind, as if any of them ultimately come true, they could decide the outcome of the game.
