Marvin Wilson, DL, Florida State

Marvin Wilson comes out of Florida State with a lack of production and kind of a disappointing college career. This was a guy highly recruited out of High School before going onto his collegiate career. Expectations were high but he was not able to stay healthy or produce at a high level. This past season was primed to be a big one for him as the hope was he could show up big for the Seminoles but that did not happen.

Wilson suffered a season-ending injury and couldn’t show NFL scouts much more than his previous years. This is going to be a huge week for him as scouts will need to see a lot from him so his name moves up draft boards.

The pedigree is there for this player but he still hasn’t shown the consistency most would want. As of now, Wilson seems to be a true nose tackle in the NFL and that is not the worst thing in the world. The Steelers might need a true nose tackle if Tyson Alualu leaves via free agency. Depth will be needed across that front and Wilson would be a nice get in the mid to late rounds of the draft. He is still a monster in the middle that can play the run extremely well. He needs to improve in the pass-rush column though.
