Jamie Newman, QB, Wake Forest

Jamie Newman technically transferred to Georgia before opting out of the season, but all of his game experience came when he was at Wake Forest. For several years, there was talk that Newman could have gone as high as the first round, but his most recent film leaves a lot to be desired.

Newman has a great NFL body for the position and plenty of velocity on his throws, but he needs to prove that he can consistently and accurately throw the football. He has a chance to be one of the biggest risers in the draft process if he can dominate at the Senior Bowl.

Mac Jones, QB, Alabama

I know this seems like a lot of Alabama players, and the Steelers typically don’t look at that school early in the draft. However, after stealing Minkah Fitzpatrick in a trade with the Miami Dolphins, perhaps that will help change their mind.

Like it or not, Mac Jones is a player the Steelers are going to do their homework on, as he’s a guy that could be a potential franchise quarterback and could make it to pick 24 this year. Some have compared him to a poor man’s Joe Burrow. It will be interesting to see what he can do this week.
