Mac Miller

Miller was one of the most influential names in the rap music sphere. Everyone loved him and he was so successful ever since his debut album, Blue Slide Park. The name of his breakout independently distributed masterpiece was based on a blue slide at a playground in Frick Park. The park is on the outskirts of the city of Pittsburgh. He would return to the Steel City often as his Steelers fandom could not be tamed. He continuously cheered on his childhood team with pride. He even threw out a concert heckler that spoke poorly about his favorite NFL team.

After his hit debut album, he would go onto release other famous pieces of work. He even opened up his record label imprint, REMember Music. That company was set to help local Pittsburgh talent get recognized. His success is still noticed around the world and he is one person the city will never forget. Miller would pass away in 2018 after a drug overdose. It is a very sad situation as this light of a human was taken away too soon. He should be recognized as the great human that he was but he will also be noticed as one of the biggest Steelers fans of all time.
