J.J. Watt has many different potential landing spots in free agency

It would make a ton of sense for J.J. Watt to go to the Bears. They have an amazing defense that would create an amazing tandem on the edge. Watt and Khalil Mack on each side would be a formidable force to go up against. Another interesting tidbit is that the Steelers will be facing off against the Bears this upcoming season. That would allow for another Watt-bowl to occur and for the family to see each other in person again during a pandemic.

This defense in Chicago is for real and the team seems only a quarterback away from becoming contenders. It might not take long until they reach contention and that is what Watt will be searching for as his age keeps ticking up.

The main factor for Watt going to Chicago would be his superstar wife, Kealia Ohai Watt. She played for the Houston Dash for the beginning of her professional career until she went to the Chicago Red Stars in 2020. Being closer to each other allows for the Bears to shoot high up on the interest meter for the happy couple. Watt will surely keep this in mind while he makes a decision and it will be very tempting. It makes sense for the team, the player, and the off-field situation. Let us not forget that these are people first that have football as a profession. They have personal lives and being close to his wife would be very important.
