This is when the money factor comes in for Watt. He has made a lot of money in the NFL already, the question is, will he be willing to take a pay cut to make his brother’s dream come true? Well, that answer will be seen when Watt signs his next contract. The Steelers have no money. They are over the cap at this moment even with Maurkice Pouncey retiring. Watt would have to sign for the veteran minimum to join the black and gold.

T.J. Watt has already begun recruiting his brother on Twitter and his entire family would like to make it a reality. It just seems so unlikely with all the variables involved. It would be very cool to see three brothers play on the same team as the NFL has never seen that happen before.

Watt to the Steelers has always seemed like a pipedream but it isn’t entirely impossible. If he wants his brothers to play on one team during their career this is his best chance. Pittsburgh has a great defense that could help revitalize his career. If he takes a one-year deal and excels then he could be lined up for a big payday next offseason. It will be interesting to see Watt’s thought process when it comes to him wanting to play with his brothers or not. It might not be the most likely fit but it will be hard for him to pass on.
