Late rounds:

Rhamondre Stevenson, Oklahoma

If the Steelers want a discounted version of A.J. Dillon from last year, look no further than Rhamondre Stevenson. Listed at 6’0” and 246 pounds, Stevenson is a wrecking ball who still has some juice to his game. Pittsburgh has a fetish for big backs, and Stevenson fits the bill. He could come in and be a situational runner between the tackles if they miss out on talent early at the running back position.

Jaret Patterson, Buffalo

If Pittsburgh is hoping to find a small-school gem on day three of the NFL Draft, Jaret Patterson could be a good option. At 5’9” and 195 pounds, he may not be the biggest running back, but he offers some intrigue. Patterson was thoroughly impressive in just 7 games this year – surpassing 1,000 rushing yards on 7.6 yards per carry (albeit against soft competition). Still, he could prove to be a steal for Pittsburgh on day three of the draft.

The Steelers still have plenty of time to explore these options and my opinions could shift slightly with the more film I study prior to the draft. However, these running backs present solid value at each stage of the draft this year.
