New England Patriots

Anytime your team has a coach like Bill Belichick, you will have a shot to compete for a title. Though the Patriots had Tom Brady throughout their most dominant run in the history of the NFL, they also had some relatively weak rosters.

New England experimented with Cam Newton last year, but he was quite unspectacular – throwing for just 8 touchdowns and 10 interceptions in 15 starts. Ben Roethlisberger is only an average quarterback at this point in his career, but he showed the ability to take care of the football last year with his 3-to-1 touchdown-to-interception ratio and he could prove to give the Patriots offense a big boost.

Newton is an unrestricted free agent this offseason, and I would be shocked if they decided to bring him back after a bad season in 2020. Meanwhile, New England has the 3rd-most cap space in the NFL this offseason at over $62 million, according to Over the Cap. Not only could they bring in Ben Roethlisberger, but they could also get some fun toys for him to play with.
