The Steelers send their brass to Clemson for the Tigers’ 2021 Pro Day. Here are four players who will now be on their radar in the NFL Draft.

2021 NFL Pro Days are officially underway, and for many teams, Pro Day appearances are a very telling sign of interest. For the Steelers, we can get a really good glimpse of the teams they are heavily interested in based on who the organization sends for a visit.

The Clemson Tigers took part in their 2021 Pro Day on Friday and they have several big names that are slated to go on the first two days of the draft. It’s certainly worth noting that Pittsburgh chose to send their brass to this one. On hand was head coach Mike Tomlin, general manager Kevin Colbert, and Matt Canada.

With their big three showing up, this is a sure sign that the Steelers have interest in some big names on Clemson early in the 2021 NFL Draft – specifically on the offensive side of the ball. Here are four players who will be added to the list of names on Pittsburgh’s radar this April:

Travis Etienne, RB

While Alabama running back, Najee Harris has stolen all of the attention from the Steelers draft media this offseason, the scale is currently tilted towards Clemson’s Travis Etienne as a very possible first-round selection. Historically, Pittsburgh rarely takes players in the first round that their brass does not get to meet with prior to the draft. The fact that they sent their most powerful personnel to Clemson shows that there is serious interest for someone high in the draft, and that is likely to be Etienne.

Though the shifty running back didn’t run in the 4.3s as some had predicted, he certainly helped his cause with a strong day. The biggest takeaway for the Steelers has to be his weight. After reportedly playing at just 199 pounds, Etienne bulked up to 215 pounds for the Pro Day. With his added weight, he was still able to run a blazing 4.40 40-yard dash. Etienne just became a very plausible selection with the 24th pick after his showing at the Pro Day.
