Steelers pre-free agency mock draft: Fixing the offense early
By Andrew Falce
The Steelers linebacking depth was put to the test last season, and while it luckily held up, there are still questions with the group going forward. Starter Vince Williams may still be cut in order to clear more cap space, and if he does leave, the team will need another capable body to fill in. Dylan Moses would be a great fit in a modern defense, as his size and athleticism make him a fit for any defense.
Moses has been a hard-hitting player for most of his career. He utilizes his natural athleticism well. The biggest issue with him is the mental mistakes he is prone to make. These can be improved upon though, as a season or two in a rotation will allow him to develop his knowledge of the game. If he can make strides there, the sky is the limit for Moses.
While a third-round pick is a little steep with so many other holes, it would be surprising to see the team go all offense with their top three picks. They usually want to add to both the offense and defense early in the draft. Moses fills a huge need and can begin working his way into a rotation sooner than later. He has the natural ability, but he needs a little refinement before being counted on as a true starter.
