Amari Rodgers
Out of all of the options on this list, Amari Rodgers may be leading the charge of receivers primed to replace Smith-Schuster. This isn’t just due to his play though, as the Steelers sent the house to Clemson’s pro day. There is usually a good trend in terms of the team having a heavy presence at a pro day and them drafting from that school. Don’t be surprised to hear Rodgers have his name called by the team in the draft.
While the interest from his pro day is promising, his play itself is another reason teams must take heed of Rodgers. Rodgers has a unique physical attitude for a guy his size. Instead of relying on straight speed, Rodgers is willing to throw his weight around and run through people, not just round them. That doesn’t mean he is a bad athlete though. He has plenty of speed and agility to make a man miss in space.
The best thing about him should be his cost. While Moore has seen his stock surge in recent weeks, Rodgers has been steadily floating around the late third to early fourth-round range. This means the Steelers won’t have to invest one of their top picks into Rodgers but could still get a steady starter out of him.
