Another option to return would be Avery Williamson. The team swapped late-round picks with the Jets to acquire his services, and his play was well worth the move. While not a perfect player, Williamson can do enough to be a solid starter in the league. His market doesn’t seem to be that hot right now either, which could aid in his return.

Williamson is a slight liability in coverage, but with Devin Bush set to return, Williamson could take on more of the Vince Williams enforcer role. He isn’t quite as physical, but he has better agility and speed that can make him just as dynamic of a threat. Add Robert Spillane to the group and suddenly this position is deep again.

His price can’t be that high either. He is getting older and saw a snap decrease thanks to him being traded. Add in just how underwhelming the inside linebacker market has been and suddenly Williamson could potentially be had for cheap. The team could look to resign him to a multi-year deal for between 2-4 million per year. He would be a capable starter and excellent backup and keep this unit deep heading into the new season.
