Round 4, 140. Austin Watkins, AUB, WR

Austin Watkins is a former JUCO player before transferring to AUB where he put up nice numbers. This is a nice selection as it would allow the receiver to learn behind a very talented group as JuJu Smith-Schuster will likely leave following this season.

Round 6, 210. Robert Jones, OG, Middle Tennessee

We know the interest is there from the team as scouts were sent to watch Robert Jones closely at his pro day. He is a big man inside the trenches and he would provide nice depth behind the starters.

Round 6, 216. Quintin Morris, TE, Bowling Green

Quintin Morris has had the attention of NFL teams, including Pittsburgh. They had people at his pro day and the tight end would provide depth to an otherwise scarce room. His blocking is an issue but he is a nice receiving threat for the offense.

Round 7, 245. Shane Buechele, QB, SMU

Quarterback is not a major need for this team as they seem content with the three on their roster. Drafting Shane Buechele here just brings in some competition for Dwayne Haskins in camp. This would kind of be a wasted selection at this point.

Round 7, 254. Jason Pinnock, CB, Pitt

Jason Pinnock will be known by the team because he shared the same facility during his time in college. They had a nice defense at Pitt and bringing in another corner to fight for a roster spot is a good idea.

Grade: C-

The fact this mock draft ignored the running back, center, and tackle position entirely is a major issue. This team needs to get those three positions figured out and that did not happen here.
