Option 2: Jaycee Horn, CB, South Carolina

This is the best position fit for need. The Steelers will roll out Joe Haden on one side and Cameron Sutton on the other likely when they open up the season. The big question is who is going to be the third when they come out in the Nickel. Jaycee Horn could be a great solution to that problem.

Jaycee Horn is a playmaker although he does have some things to fix on tape. What to like about him is the athleticism and the upside. He excels in press coverage although can give too much cushion in off-man coverage. I like Jaycee Horn’s physicality in coverage but he does need to be careful that he is not being too handsy. One thing to consider is opening up his hips too early anticipating go routes. He crushed his Pro Day and is the son of former NFL player Joe Horn.

This type of play is what they look for in corners although the Steelers don’t really draft the position well. This is a player that is being coveted by a lot of teams. I think the bigger reason that they won’t go get him is that somebody before the Steelers will draft him. If he is on the board, I would go get him.
