Day 3 prospects the Pittsburgh Steelers could be targeting

Several names the Steelers may be interested in on Day 3:

QB – Kyle Trask

WR – Anthony Schwartz

DT – Marvin Wilson, Bobby Brown

LB – Dylan Moses, Cameron McGrone, and Monty Rice

Edge – Quincy Roche, Patrick Jones, or Cameron Sample

DB – Shaun Wade, Abry Thomas, or Thomas Graham

Steelers fans would hate to hear it, but it sounds like Pittsburgh has some interest in Florida QB Kyle Trask.  He had a great college career, but I believe he’s pretty much a Mason Rudolph clone (at least from my assessment). Trask doesn’t quite have the arm talent to be an above-average passer in the NFL.

Another interesting prospect on Day 3 is Ohio State DB Shaun Wade. He was considered last year as a possible 1st round selection but played very poorly in 2020. How much did that have to do with a shortened season with less practicing and no training camp for the Big 10? He has the physical tools you’d want for a Day 3 pick and coming from a big school I’d be shocked if he falls into the 5th round with the upside he possesses.
