Elijah Molden, Washington

Elijah Molden might be one of the most underrated players heading into this draft. Washington has not been as strong of a program as in recent years but they still are producing top prospects. Their secondary players seem to always be selected fairly high but many of them don’t pan out normally at the next level. Molden seems to be a difference in that trend as he will be a solid player at the next level. He could be a surprise first-round selection by one of the later choices on night one. It seems more plausible that he will go on day two and that will be a nice selection.

The biggest knock on this prospect is his size because he stands at only 5’9 and 192 pounds. That is very light to play at for the NFL but we have seen smaller players excel at the next level.

His size should not allow teams to ignore his tape and athletic ability on the field. He can play all over the defense in the slot or at his natural safety position. He comes from a football family as his father played professionally for a while. This is a solid cover corner that needs to work on his run defending at the next level. He will be a solid player but that will need to probably as a slot cover corner during his rookie season.
