Trevon Moehrig, TCU

Trevon Moehrig has been the number one safety on most boards for a while. He is only a Junior sp the youth makes him even more intriguing to NFL teams. His size of 6’1 and a little over 200 pounds also makes him a prototypical size for what most teams seek in safeties in the NFL. This guy can cause havoc on a  football field as he showed during his time at TCU.

Moehrig was able to cause interceptions, sacks, and many other issues for opposing teams that matched up against him. This guy will be the first safety to come off the board for a reason and that is because he is the best in every way. This crop of safeties might not be the strongest or have the most depth but Moehrig can match up with previous classes that turned into great players at the next level.

He will be taken in the ladder parts of the first round, anywhere from picks 20-32 and that is a fair spot for this player. He will help an NFL team on day one and that is exactly what a team looks for in their first-round selection. If your team needs a safety then keep an eye on this player if you select later on night one.
