Steelers get picks 47, 77, and 97 for pick 24

The Chargers are yet another team that should be looking to capitalize on winning while their quarterback is on a rookie deal. Justin Herbert looks like a quality starter, but the team needs to work on protecting him. Besides that, the Chargers need some help in the secondary to turn this defense into one that can contend with some of the top offenses in the NFL.

Say a stud corner like Jaycee Horn or Patrick Surtain II causes the Chargers to ignore the offensive line position early in the first round. Trading up could allow them to land one of the next waves of lineman. This class is incredibly deep at offensive line, meaning pick 24 could have a plethora of tackle and guard capable prospects.

While the Steelers need offensive line help as well, that need falls more so at center. There isn’t a slam-dunk first-round center, meaning the team could be willing to trade out of their spot despite there being some strong lineman available. While tackle is a need, it doesn’t warrant a first-round pick for the team given the fact that they have their starters and swing option already on the roster. Moving back to the middle of the second round is drastic, but the five picks on day three would be huge in filling the holes on this roster.
