4. Running Back

For the longest time, the Steelers’ offense has been known to be a smashmouth, in your face department of running the football that the defense would get fatigued too quickly. If you remember the names like Franco, Hoge, Foster, “The Bus”, Parker, Mendenhall, LeVeon, and Conner, chances would be that we have had a great running attack.

In the previous 2 years especially last year, to no fault of Conner or any other back, Pittsburgh has been lacking in this type of Offense that they had no choice but to throw the football and a lot of factors come into play (blocking is one of them). The Steelers could wait to pick a running back after the 1st Round if they need to because they have 3 backs such as Edmunds, Snell, and Samuels.

They could select a back to boost the department and let someone go. Pittsburgh has not had too many plays that the running backs have rushed more than 20 yards on a single play, it has been more from the receiving area whether by just a single throw or yards after the catch.
