The Pittsburgh Steelers have just wrapped up their 2021 draft class and these rookies will put some veterans on the chopping block.

It has only been a couple of days since the 2021 NFL Draft wrapped up and the Steelers have a lot of talented rookies coming to the team. They are currently allowed to carry 90 players on their roster during the offseason before they have to get down to their final 53 before the regular season begins.

The draft saw the team addressing many needs and issues across their starting voids and depth concerns. By adding players to those concerns, there will be players on their way out of town in the coming months as they try and fight for a roster spot. These certain players will need to beat out rookies and that could be a tough task for some of these players to overcome.

Jordan Berry, Punter

This is the most obvious one as the Steelers tried to move on from this player last season. They brought in another veteran last year and that experiment did not work out so they brought back Jordan Berry for the remainder of the season. He played fairly well but the team wants to go in another direction moving forward.

They have a punter on the practice squad, Corliss Waitman and they just drafted another punter in the seventh round, Pressley Harvin III. They want to move on and spending a pick on a punter will give that guy the best opportunity to make the team coming out of camp. Berry seems like he will not make the squad unless he wows coaches in camp based on previous performance that seems very unlikely.
